RICHARD BLAND COLLEGE
ERNST HALL

Ernst Hall was an existing 2-story steel framed, brick, CMU, and precast concrete building on the southwest corner of the Richard Bland College Campus. This project provided flexible student learning spaces, including classrooms, seminar spaces, study collaboration spaces, and faculty and administrative office space. The auditorium was renovated, which supports presentations, performances, and small productions. The three building entrances were modified to increase accessibility. An entrance canopy, vestibule, and a new elevator and shaft were provided at the North Entrance. The South Entrance received a new canopy, entrance steps, ramps, and storefront. New steps, ramp, and entrance vestibule were provided at the West Entrance as well. New Low-E windows with light shelving and sun shading were incorporated throughout the building.
