Liberty University Library

Branch partnered with Liberty University to provide Construction Management at Risk services for this new 200,000sf, 5-story memorial library. The new state-of-the-art facility serves as the focal point and anchor building for the new quadrangle the University is developing in the heart of the campus, overlooking a lake that Branch constructed for the University. The building’s most unique feature is an automatic book retrieval system (ARS) which is housed in a 3-story vault and uses robotics to retrieve books from the University’s 390,000+ volumes. The design documents were developed in Revit, a 3-dimensional BIM design program and all of our preconstruction estimating services were prepared paperless from within the model.
