Observatory Hill Dining Hall

The Observatory Hill area on the UVA campus is home to a number of residence halls served by the O’Hill Dining Hall. The existing dining hall had become inadequate to support student needs. The replacement dining hall, designed by Dagit-Saylor Architects of Philadelphia, is a 62,000sf, 3-story facility that has quickly become a hub of activity on campus. Branch developed a construction plan that allowed for the existing dining hall to remain in operation throughout construction. The contemporary design of the interior features a high level of finish and detail and contrasts with the traditional brick and precast accented exterior. Its multiple eateries and numerous dining venues have made it the place to eat, meet, study or surf the web.
