George Mason University
Softball Stadium

George Mason University softball stadium replaced the existing softball field used by the George Mason girls intercollegiate team. The scope of work included replacement of the playing surface, new Patriot Bermuda Grass outfield, warning track and infield soil mix, irrigation and drainage system, extension of outfield fence, and stadium lighting.

New concrete retaining walls enabled construction of field-level dugouts, featuring private rest room facilities and access to bull pens. The third base side features a double batting cage. Behind home plate, 200 permanent metal seats were added with grass berm seating for an additional 500 spectators as well as a press box. Men’s and women’s public rest room facilities were constructed on a wide concrete concourse.
