Virginia Military Institute Mallory Hall

Mallory Hall is one of a number of stone clad buildings that face directly onto the VMI Parade Grounds, a national historic landmark. Branch was contracted under Construction Management at Risk procurement to provide preconstruction and construction services for the reconstruction of Mallory Hall, a 4-story, 53,174sf academic building. The purpose of the reconstruction effort was to create state-of-the-art lecture facilities while preserving the historic integrity of the structure. Improvements included facade restoration and detailing, window replacement, new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, security, interior finishes and a new elevator. The project was completed on schedule and below the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP).
