Branch is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of The Cookie Factory Lofts located in Richmond, Virginia. On Saturday November 15th, they hosted an open house inviting the public to come and enjoy a tour of the newly renovated building along with a cookie snack! The $24 million historic renovation project, located north of West Broad Street at 900 Terminal Place space once used to bake Girl Scout cookies, crackers and other snacks. The distinctive illuminated FFV (Famous Foods of VA) rooftop sign has been restored as part of the rehabilitation and once again brightens the Richmond skyline. One side of the building overlooks the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center; another looks out over the Boulevard and Scott’s Addition, plus there’s a skyline view of the Fan and Museum districts. The 240,000-square-foot complex is made up of the seven-story tower building with 178 industrial chic apartments. Residents are moving into the first phase of completed units. Though the enticing aroma of freshly baked cookies will no longer drift through the neighborhood, architectural remnants of the building’s history have been incorporated into the new design.
