Liberty University Library
Repeat Client • Signature Campus Facility • Estimated from BIM • $3.5M In Cost Savings
Branch and Associates partnered with Liberty University to provide Construction Management at Risk services for a new 200,000sf, 5-story memorial library to honor the late Reverend Jerry Falwell. The new state-of-the-art facility serves as the focal point and anchor building for the new quadrangle the University is developing in the heart of the campus, overlooking a future lake. The building’s most unique feature is an automatic book retrieval system (ARS) which is housed in a 3-story vault and uses robotics to retrieve books from the University’s 390,000+ volumes. The design documents were developed in Revit, a 3-dimensional BIM design program and all of our preconstruction estimating services were prepared from within the model.
“Liberty has completed nearly $300,000,000 in construction projects in just the last five years and has worked with many contractors during that period and previously. Branch and Associates was, by far, the most professional and competent of all the building contractors we have hired.” - Jerry Falwell, Jr., Chancellor, Liberty University
