Interbake Apartments
Historic Tax Credit Project • "Batching" Work Sequencing Plan • Dense Urban Site • Signature Community Project
The adaptive rehabilitation/renovation of the 250,000sf former FFV Interbake bakery building in Richmond, Virginia represents a landmark endeavor that kicked off the redevelopment of the Boulevard Area north of Richmond known as “Scott’s Addition.” Branch Builds contracted with Interbake Partners, LLC, which includes the major Richmond-based commercial developer, Rebkee, who is the principal partner of the ownership group. The historic tax credit project converted the existing bakery building into 178 high-end residential apartments. Amenities included a community center, pool, and fitness room, as well as underground parking and surface parking for tenants. Branch Builds developed a fast-track, 16 month single-phase plan that incorporated our “batching” work sequencing concept.
