FORT BELVOIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL I & II

This two story elementary school is located on the U.S. Military Base at Fort Belvoir, owned and operated by Fairfax County Public Schools. The steel structured masonry façade building consists of a 56,579sf first floor and a 38,329sf second floor, constructed on a greenfield site on the base. The project required full site development, starting with clearing and grading and includes playground and playing fields typically associated with an elementary school. The school building in addition to the typical classrooms, has multiple music and art rooms, a STEM oriented Science Lab, multi-purpose classrooms, a cafeteria with associated servery and a gymnasium. This project was designed and constructed to LEED Silver certifications.
